The ALZAMA synagogue dates back to the 1500’s when it was built by the then thriving Moroccan Jewish community living in Marrakech.  Today it is overseen by Rabbi Shalom, a charming man with endless patience and an endless supply of stories.

The Jewish quarter, knows as the Mellah is located to the South of the main square and is easily accessible from HipMarrakech Riad Dar El Souk,HipMarrakech Riad Dar Habiba and HipMarrakech Riad Shemsi
