Six En-suite Guest Rooms
Situated in the heart of the Medina, Maison MK is an exciting new addition to the cultural and creative scene of Marrakech. The 6 sensational en-suite bedrooms are extravagantly stylish and feature cutting edge design within a traditional Moroccan framework.
The sun-drenched roof terraces at Maison MK, shaded by billowing silk canopies are ideal for sunbathing during the day, transforming into a sexy & stylish lounge area by night.
Guests can energise themselves at the Maison MK gym or self-indulge at the spa before plunging into the refreshing cool waters of the designer pool. The two spa treatment rooms with dedicated in house staff offer a range of Western and authentic Moroccan treatments.
Food lovers are well catered for at Maison MK with the highly experienced European chef creating a French / Moroccan fusion of signature dishes. Meals can be taken either on the rooftop patio, in private dining rooms, or under the stars. (Gastro MK tasting menu is only served downstairs.) Alternatively, the more restless can take a picnic into the countryside with a private butler, umbrellas, chairs, and mouth-watering picnic hamper in tow for a romantic lunchtime affair.
The mystical magic of Marrakech has always had a reputation for being the perfect romantic weekend; al honeymooners staying at Maison MK get a complimentary horse-driven caleche ride.

The historical Riad's six extravagant suites can be rented out individually or as a whole.
Over 12's are welcome at any time, Children under 12 are only allowed if the whole riad is rented.
Two night minimum stay midweek, and 3 night minimum stay at weekends.
Base prices are in Moroccan Dirhams: £Sterling, Euro and USD rates will vary by exchange rate.

Double room.
This gorgeously quirky room is hung with vibrant orange and crimson silks. There are exposed beams running along the ceiling and squishy armchairs by the window, overlooking the quiet side-street below.The room comes with it's own walk in power shower.

Suite 5 - The Twin room
Twin Room.
The twin bed, which has crafted by the King's very own bed-maker, brings comfort to a royal level in this room. Deep, warm coloured wall panels are inviting and relaxing, and luxurious thick silk chiffon drapes lead to the bathroom.

Suite 4
Double room.
This stunning double room is extravagantly stylish, featuring cutting edge design within a traditional Moroccan framework. Splashes of hot, rich colour are reflected in the canvas artwork, and it beautifully contrasts with a fluffy white rug to give a warm, cosy feeling to the room. The moulded plaster walls and clever lighting design create ever-changing shadows.

Suite 3
Double room.
Behind the ethereal, floating bed is a modern, hanging silk, and there is a lovely interlaced window with a printed cushioned seat looking out over the internal courtyard. The room has a golden feel and can take an extra single bed. This double room offers the perfect intimate space for a couple’s romantic retreat. Alternatively, an extra bed can be added to the room to accommodate a child for a small additional cost.

Suite 2
Double room.
Peacefully decorated in earthy browns and greens, this room overlooks the carefully designed internal courtyard at the heart of the riad. Traditional cedar wood and moulded plaster keep the colour and feel soft and warm.

Master Suite
Double room.
All beds are made by the King's own bed-maker, and dramatic silk chiffon artwork of sultry and exotic Moroccan faces flutter above the huge headboard. Silk draped chandeliers hang from the high ceiling and the cosy seating all round beckons you to the candle-lit fireplace. The throne seat adds the extra special touch. The room rate includes a candle-lit rose petal bath, and a bottle of sparkling wine.

Entire Riad - 13 Guests
Double room.
Maison MK is available to rent for a group booking, with use of the Master Suite and five further rooms, plus a put up bed suitable for children/teenagers, accomodating up to thirteen guests.
Includes use of the roof terrace, dining room, spa, and courtyard with plunge pool. Please note all the rooms are exclusive but it remains a ‘non exclusive’ booking ( ie non residents can also book the gastro mk evening restaurant or Full English afternoon tea, the cooking courses and the spa. External bookings can only be made near the dates and our guests at maison mk have first priority to book of course.

Eating at Maison MK
Maison mk offers a great dining experience from sunrise to sunset.
Breakfast: Breakfast alternates between Moroccan & French. Moroccan days include the ‘msimmen’ home made pancakes and Moroccan breads. French days have fabulous baguettes, pain au chocolat & pastries. Both days also have home made yoghurts, fresh eggs, just-squeezed orange juice, and fruit salad using the seasonal local fruits. Served anytime you want it.
Lunch: Lunch is a lighter affair served up on the roof terrace under the shaded canopies. Dishes include home smoked salmon, barbeque skewers, pan fried red mullet, and mint pannacotta. Sip a glass of chilled rosé while the lunch chef prepares your fresh lunch for you. Prices are roughly 15€ for a main course.
24hr Snack Menu: At Maison MK we also offer a wonderful snack menu, available to guests 24 hours a dat. This menu includes club sandwiches, burgers, croque monsieur, and mozzarella & tomato salad.
English Afternoon Tea: Pre-booked and subject to availability, our English Afternoon Tea is served in the courtyard at Maison mk from 3pm until 4.30pm. Priced at 300dirhams per person. (Maximum of 8 people per day, closed Wednesdays)

Sandwiches : fillet of beef, cream cheese & chive, egg mayonnaise, and of course cucumber.
Freshly baked scones with whipped cream and jam.
Pastries : a selection of home baked cakes and pastries such as rich ginger chocolate cake, lemon tarte, chocolate macaroons, honey nut biscuits, and Moroccan traditional pastries.
A selection of teas or coffees.
The jewel in the crown is our fabulous restaurant, Gastro MK.
A lovely fusion of Moroccan and modern French cooking, we serve a 5 course tasting menu priced at 650dirhams per person.
Dinner starts at 7.30 or 8.30pm and guests are invited to join us from 7pm for drinks on the roof terrace. Due to Gastro MK hard-earned popularity, we limit external guests to just 10 people per night. Despite this, reservations are essential! (Closed on Wednesdays.)

Ourika Valley
Our top destination for a day trip is along the beautiful Ourika Valley to the waterfall at Setti-Fatma, You will have an English speaking driver and a comfortable car or Minibus with air conditioning. The driving time is normally around an hour and a quarter each way. Your party will have exclusive use of the vehicle and can vary the itinerary as you wish, the driver can recommend viewing points and stops along the way.

Imlil, High Atlas
Also highly recommended is a trip to the high Atlas village of Imlil, gateway to the magnificent Jbel Toubkal crowning wonder of the Atlas range and the tallest mountain in North Africa.

Toubkal Ascent Trek
Mount Toubkal is the second highest peak in Africa and the highest in North Africa. At an altitude of 4,167m climbing Toubkal is a fantastically rewarding challenge. The ascent of Toubkal isn't technical so as long as you are reasonably fit you stand a decent chance of making it to the top.

Back to Maison MK to prepare lunch for us all and I have to say that Omar and his assistant were brilliant teachers - and very patient! I particularly enjoyed using the iPod speakers in the room to play music! Breakfasts were fantastic. Each day it alternated between French and Moroccan style breakfasts. I enjoyed sunbathing on the terrace with the lovely views, and when I was hot, it was nice to take a dip in the pool. It was nice to be able relax after a long day shopping and watch a movie in the cinema room, with some popcorn and a milkshake!
