Seven En-suite Guest Rooms

Located in the Riad Zitoun area in the heart of the Medina, just a few steps south of the Place Jemaa, Dar El Souk is a beautiful guesthouse el Fna offering guests the ultimate in relaxation.

Each suite is decorated individually in a traditional Moroccan style and features and beautiful en-suite bathrooms. The suites also offer a private seating area outside of their rooms so that guests can choose either to relax close to their rooms. Alternatively, guests can enjoy one of the many quiet corners of the house including the salons, the patio or on the terrace, which commands beautiful views over the Atlas Mountains and the Badii Palace.

Throughout their stay, the Dar El Souk staff are on hand to spoil the guests. They will go out of their way to ensure that everything is done to make you as comfortable as possible.

This includes, although is not limited to, our fine Moroccan dining experience. In addition to the traditional Moroccan breakfast, our cook Fatima can create a feast of Moroccan culinary delights served in a romantic candlelit setting for the ultimate dining experience.

With an abundance of local knowledge, the staff at Dar El Souk can also assist you in making all of the plans to make your stay in Marrakech a really special and unforgettable experience. With the help of our English-speaking drivers and tour guides, access to the best Hammams in Marrakech, and even massages in the privacy of your own suite, nothing is too much trouble.

Eating at Dar El Souk

Breakfast: Our lavish Moroccan breakfast of cool juices, fresh fruits and an assortment of warm pastries and homemade cakes.

Lunch and Dinner: The kitchen at Riad Dar el Souk offers lunch and dinner on reservation. Our skilled chef offers a menu of hearty fare, expect traditional Moroccan delicacies and signature European dishes. All ingredients are in season and locally sourced.

The whole house is the setting for the dining experience, whether it be in the Moroccan salon, under the tent, in the courtyard or under the stars.

The 'Full House' Dining experience: For full house bookings it would be our pleasure to organise spectacular feasts resplendent with belly dancers, musicians in dazzling costume, fire breathers and, of course, snake charmers!

Local Restaurants

If you want a change of scene, there are plenty of great restaurants nearby. Marrakech's only vegetarian restaurant, Earth Cafe, is located just a short walk from Dar el Souk. Centrally located and reasonably prices, this cafe is perfect for a lunchtime bite.

Imlil, High Atlas
Also highly recommended is a trip to the high Atlas village of Imlil, gateway to the magnificent Jbel Toubkal crowning wonder of the Atlas range and the tallest mountain in North Africa.

Kasbahs
Ait Ben Haddou is a world heritage site that has been the backdrop to a remarkable 16 feature films including Gladiator, The Man Who Would Be King and Marco Polo.
The driving time is normally four to five hours covering 190 miles. Your party will have exclusive use of the vehicle and can vary the itinerary as you wish, the driver can recommend viewing points and stops along the way.
