"This riad is the perfect place to stay to get the real taste of Marrakech the riad is nestled in the heart of the souks where local people are going about their daily lives, after a short walk through the souks you arrive in the Jamaa el Fna square where you can soak up the most amazing atmosphere. The team who work in the riad are helpful, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We did a daytrip to the Ourika valley which we arranged through the Riad as break from the exciting and often noisy activity of the souk. But after a day out you can chill out and relax on the riads roof terrace with a glass of wine. On our first night we dined at the Riad, be warned you need a big appetite to finish the 3 courses; it was gorgeous but far too much for us. We hope to return to Marrakech and would love to stay here again."

"My friend and I stayed at Riad Dar Eliane for 3 nights after 3 nights in Essaouira. We were met at the Supratours bus station by Rachid who had a taxi waiting to whisk us off to the Riad.You walk down small street to get to the riad, but when you step inside the idyllic surroundings of the riad it is like a different world, gone is the heat and craziness of Marrakech. Our room was beautifully decorated in true Moroccan style, and it had air con, phew! The staff were very friendly and always on hand asking if there was anything they could do, the owner John has an amazing team here and they are obviously very happy to be running his riad for him. They all keep themselves very busy keeping the place comfortable, clean and tidy. The riad is in fantastic location, on the doorstep of the souks about a 10 minute walk, through interesting streets with amazing shops to browse, to get to the Jamaa el Fnaa. Breakfast was ready and waiting every morning, with a selection of breads, jams, crepes and mint tea or coffee which really sets you up for the day. We stayed in for dinner one night to sample the chefs Nisha’s amazing lamb tagine, it was rich, tasty, and tender and we didn't want it to end, she really is a truly amazing cook. Absolutely charming riad and we would highly recommend this Riad to anyone travelling to Marrakech."

"We stayed for 4 nights in this oasis of tranquillity and quality. It combines all that one could want from a riad with beautiful Moroccan art and architecture, lovely cool air conditioned rooms (which were comfortably cool) and most importantly of all, the staff who run and work in the riad they are all without fault kind, generous with their time, efficient and charming without being oppressive. The food is simply the best in Marrakech and is enough to satisfy most appetites. We still managed to visit two quality restaurants but in my opinion the food at the riad is better. It is a peaceful oasis from which one reluctantly departs at the end of a rejuvenating break from the hurly burly of normal life. I can recommend it as the perfect place to stay in Marrakech."
