Riad Meriem is ideally located in the heart of the Medina, just 5 minutes away from the world famous Jemaa el Fna and the entrance to the mystical souks. Despite this central location, the calm and tranquillity of Riad Meriem is set in stark contrast to the frenetic pace of the streets of Marrakech.
This authentic traditional Riad is cantered around a patio illuminated by a thousand lights at nightfall. Its small oriental swimming pool will delight you with its refreshing feel and the gentleness of its curves.
Each of the riad’s 5 suites and rooms offer unique decorations entirely crafted by Marrakechi artisans. The traditional décor is continued throughout, across the riads several lounges. One such lounge is the bhou, where you will enjoy evening drinks by candlelight with a romantic view of the pool surrounded by bougainvilleas and palm trees. Alternatively, you can repose a la Moroccan while in the tent lounge on the terrace. For the colder months you can enjoy an aperitif in the chimney lounge by an open fire.
Riad Meriem’s terrace offers stunning view of the Koutoubia and the Atlas mountains. This spacious terrace provides the perfect space to sunbathe and lounge surrounded by bougainvilleas, fig and olive trees, and hibiscus. Here, you can also enjoy wonderful breakfasts as the sun rises over the Atlas Mountains, midday lunches, and the Moroccan dinning experience by candlelight in the Bedouin tent in the evening.
Thanks to Riad Meriem’s skilled chef, the riad offers a huge menu, with dishes taken from across the world. Meals can be taken in the dining areas on the patio with a view of the oriental pool, in the Salon and Chimney Lounge by a crackling fire, or you can also consider taking a meal al fresco on the terrace.
Riad Meriem is also available to rent exclusively, offering up to 10 guests full use of the whole house.
