This elegant Riad Sapphire is situated in the northern reaches of the ancient Marrakech Medina, within walking distance of the world famous Jemaa el Fnaa square and ideally situated to enjoy many of the local sites.
The riad is designed and decorated to a high standard throughout in a cool, chic style with simple, elegant furnishings all finished with a touch of luxury.
The owners have ensured that the skills of local Marrakchi artisans have been put to good use ensuring that the traditional riad retains a recognisable Moroccan aesthetic. At the same time, they have added a modern twist to traditional design: lampshades were custom-ordered, woodwork was all handmade (including a very handsome lattice screen called a menzeh), fabrics were hand-woven and made up into drapes, and a typical Moroccan metal railing was rendered in modern glass with the traditional design etched in.
The riad features 8 beautifully designed suites, 2 marble courtyards and large pool. Sapphire also offers many opportunities to relax and unwind with a large bright salon with fireplace and a huge roof terrace with views over the medina and to the snow capped Atlas Mountains beyond.
Eco-credentials include solar panels for hot water, heating the swimming pool and hammam. Locally sourced organic toiletries are provided in the suites and the on-site spa, including hammam.

This double/triple suite on the ground floor opens onto the main courtyard with marble floor and its central fountain and the larger-than-average pool. The suite has beautiful arched windows covered in mouchareb (the beautiful hand-turned wooden screens) and French doors giving lots of light.
