"Discover an oasis of peace in the Medina of Marrakech..."

In a prime and desirable location (Bab Doukala) this stunning, centuries old riad, has been totally refurbished by local master craftsmen. It has five ensuite bedrooms, all with air-conditioning, and a plunge pool. Original features such as cedar wood beamed ceilings, with the addition of ensuite bathrooms in sculpted tadelakt, and elegant arches and columns make Dar Rocmarra unique.
Each bedroom has been individually designed by the English owners, whilst all different in style, all have the highest level of comfort. The Douria Suite can accommodate four people on request.
A sunny courtyard is shaded by a 100 year old Olive tree. The sunken Bhou (seating area) with its cosy open fire and sumptuous velvet cushions is a lovely place to relax, read, catch-up on emails, take a pre-dinner drink, or just listen to the water trickle into the petal-strewn dipping pool.
The roof terrace has dramatic views over Marrakech and the mountains, it's a favourite place to chill. You can recline on sofas or sun loungers and soak up the sun, take breakfast, lunch, dinner, or just enjoy a drink under the pergola and watch the sun set. There is also a cooling shower.
The recommended in-house Moroccan cuisine prepared by Jamila is exceptional, with lunch and dinner service. However, you are just a few minutes walk from some of the most renowned restaurants of Marrakech. The riad prides itself on the excellence of its staff.

""The riad has a contemporary decor and has a bright and airy feel. It is spotlessly clean. The staff are welcoming and beyond helpful. Jamila was a wonderful host, always checking we were happy and had everything we needed.
We stayed in the Johara room which was strewn with rose petals on our arrival. Fabulously comfortable bed and enormous bath which I could almost lie down in. The roof terrace was sunny and tranquil, perfect for drinks after a day wandering through Marrakech. Breakfast was delicious and served in a different spot in the riad each morning.
I'd go back in heartbeat."

"The photos are good but do not relay the relaxed excellence which wafts though all the Riad's floors and roof terrace. Food was superb and even a log fire was provided for our cosy night in with beautifully prepared cocktails and snacks. Really this is a wonderful place to visit and if your visiting Marrakech for a short time, you may want to make it the richest experience possible, and if you do, you will not regret it!"

"...I was fed the most delicious homemade biscuits and given sweet mint tea as she explained the lay out of the city. Her cooking and accuracy with flavour is exceptional. I have never eaten pastries like it or lamb tangine with such enthusiasm.
Actually, it is worth staying here simply to eat Jamila's food. She is a brilliantly natural chef."

"Jamila and her team really made us feel so welcolm- nothing was too much trouble from organising trips and taxis to preparing wonderful meals at short notice. The Dar Rocmarra is a minute away from the hustle and bustle of the shopping areas and yet as peaceful and tranquil as a spa."
