Riad Assakina
Riad Assakina is a beautiful, light and spacious riad, ideally situated in the historic 'Mellah', the ancient Jewish quarter of the Medina.
It directly overlooks the famous Bahia Palace; and is within an easy stroll of the city's other famous attractions. It is also well placed for enjoying some of Marrakech's finest restaurants and bars.
Riad Assakina subtly blends the best of local tradition, materials and craftsmanship with all the refinements of a bespoke private residence.
Each bedroom has en suite facilities and has been individually designed and decorated to the highest standards. Purest quality cotton linen and fresh flowers are provided in every room, together with many other little luxuries. All suites also have their own sitting area, complete with satellite TV.
There is a beautiful swimming pool in the main courtyard of Riad Assakina; plus a small splash pool on the sunny terrace, ideal for cooling off during the heat of the day.
A hand-picked selection of stunning locally-crafted caftans, jewelry and furnishing accessories are available for you to browse in comfort; or guests may simply choose to relax in one of the many beautiful sitting areas scattered throughout the Riad, before enjoying the ultimate in romantic "at home" dining.

Berber Room
This beautiful double/twin room has extra-high ceilings; a feature arcade; and is tastefully decorated with authentic carved Berber art. It opens directly onto Riad Assakina’s courtyard and pool; and may be linked to the Saadien room via an adjoining door.

Saadien Room
This double room is sumptuously decorated with Moroccan mirrors and finest quality golden silk. It has an extra high ceiling and a view directly onto the pool. This room may be linked to the Berber Room via an adjoining door.

Almoravid Suite
This double/twin room is situated on the first floor of Riad Assakina’s overlooking the courtyard. It is larger than the ground floor rooms; features intricate Saharan doors; and a collection of authentic Moroccan jewelry and artifacts. The wall behind the bed is decorated in chocolate tadelakt and bears a beautiful hand-carved Arabic inscription.

Merenid Suite

Almohad Suite
This magnificent double/twin suite is situated on the first floor. It is filled with light, with a wall of windows that provide a stunning view of the entire Riad Assakina. It is decorated with several major pieces of exotic art, including a beautiful carved and painted horse.

Kaid Suite
This large suite has a huge bed, modelled on a traditional Moroccan King's bed, situated on a raised tadelakt platform with steps which lead down to a dressing table and sitting area. The room is decorated with ornate silver furniture and beautiful objets d'art from Africa and beyond.

Eating at Riad Assakina
Marrakech has many fantastic restaurants for you to enjoy during your stay; but sometimes you may choose to sample the ultimate in relaxed dining, just a few steps away from your room.
At Riad Assakina, in addition to a delicious breakfast, we also offer a selection of light lunch and romantic dinner options. Meals can be served in the coolness of the courtyard, the sumptuous elegance of the salon or perhaps on the terrace, lit by candles and starlight!
The menus are selected so as to offer the best of in-season local produce, freshly-prepared recipes both traditional and modern, with vegetarians well-catered for. In the case of larger parties: live music, belly-dancing and other traditional entertainment can be arranged.
