The Hammam is of great cultural significance in Marrakech. The rituals associated with cleansing and exfoliating the skin are performed in the local version of a Turkish bath.

While most Moroccans traditionally used public Hammams the opulent Riads of the wealthy often contained the ultimate Marrakech luxury, a private Hammam. In some restored Riads the Hammam has been neglected or overlooked but a select few offer a Private Hammam experience which is a window on an ancient ancient way of life. HipMarrakech 'Riads with Hammam' have been selected for this quality of the guest experience.

If you are not able to book a Riad with its own Hammam, don't be deterred, all our HipMarrakech Riads will be able to advise and help you to book external Hammams as well as assisting with other aspects of your Marrakech break.
